JFRoche Photography's hope is to capture the incidental images in daily life that highlight
"Life's Simple Beauty".
The Windsor Locks Historic Train Station in Windsor Locks, Connecticut. Built in 1875 this classic brick structure has been the gateway for thousands of people, both coming and going.
From the veterans who left for the war in 1942 to the first woman governor in America, who left for her inauguration on a train to Hartford in 1975, this station has been the center of it all.
Closed in the mid seventies there has been an ongoing effort, successfully, to spare it from a wrecking ball and then in 2014 ownership was transferred to the town of Windsor Locks. Restoration efforts are underway and will continue until this treasure, the last original building on Main Street, is fully restored and functional.
"Life's Simple Beauty."...It's all around us.
